Tanya (dance): the joy of living

Did you know that the word dance has its origin in sanskrit language?

Actually, it comes from the word tanya.

And do you know what does it mean?

It means JOY OF LIVING.

Even in hindu mythology you can find a lot of stories about the gods and goddesses

who had danced together,

about how they had created the whole world by dancing energetically and passionately.

It was considered that only through dance as the highest and the most sacred art form

the human being could get close to God.

That was the only way to unite with his true, divine nature.

NOW, I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU.

Don`t you think that this is true?

Because, if you ask me, everything in the Universe is the dancing energy.

And energy moves in rhythms, waves, patterns. That`s exactly what dance is.

And what human being is.

In the end (or in the beginning), that`s what life is.

So, if the life is dance, and the dance is joy of living,

don`t you think that you can get close to God

and your divine nature just by feeling that way?

By BEING JOYFUL AND PLAYFUL,

by MOVING THROUGH THE SPACE with those emotions?

I am just thinking out loud. Think of it, too 🙂

AND OF COURSE, DANCE! 🙂

With Love,

JS.
